Advent Sermon Series

Sundays in December 1, 8, 15, 22 | 10 am | in-person & online

Follow that Star - What does it mean to follow a star, to step away from the familiar and embrace the unknown? This Advent, join us on a journey alongside immigrants, refugees, asylum-seekers, and all who seek a guiding light in a world full of distractions.

Dec. 1 - Preparing > Perspiring

Progress takes time, iterations, and failing forward. How do we prepare for a journey beyond sweating about the details?

Dec. 8 - Setting Up > Stepping Aside

As we journey, are we called to lead the journey or to receive it? What role can people of faith be in justice movements?

Dec. 15 - Guest sermon by director of Family Ministries, Nick Davenport.

Dec. 22 - Showing Up > Phoning In

We follow a God who shows up for our journeys, so we are called to show up with all of us, rather than phoning in the bare minimum.

Tues. Dec. 24 - Joy to the World ... in the Bleak Midwinter

We walk with the Holy Family as they journey through scandal and rejection to the celebration of the birth of the Christ Child.

Sunday, December | 7 pm

Please join us on Sunday, December 8, at 7:00pm for an evening of holiday music performed by a variety of musicians from our church and community. You’ll see a plenty of familiar faces who help support many of our services here at EUMC and you’ll hear classical solos, folk music, chamber ensembles, handbells, and more! Also, don’t forget that this is an important fundraising opportunity for our Music Ministry, so if you are someone who appreciates all the music we have in worship year-round and would maybe like to see more events like this throughout the year, then this is your opportunity to support that music with a donation to the Music Ministry designated fun! We look forward to seeing you there!

Christmas Variety Show

We wish to create a space for those who may be suffering this holiday season, and so we invite you to our Longest Night service on December 21, at 3:00 pm in the sanctuary. All are welcome—the hurting and those who want to support those who are hurting.
