Youth Ministries

EUMC Youth is more than just a youth group - it's a family. We welcome and embrace every 7th-12th grader who walks through the door. We meet every Sunday Evening from 6-8 pm in the Youth hall in the church's lower level for snacks, fun, worship, and fellowship. This is a place where God meets us - in how we build community, worship, and serve the world around us. EUMC youth experience God through small groups, bonding events, and mission and service to those who need it most.

This Sunday, December 15th, join us in the Youth Hall from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for our annual Christmas Party and White Elephant gift exchange. We will have an Ice Cream Sundae bar and Hot Cocoa. Bring a silly white elephant gift ($10 price range) to share. Also, stay tuned for our Spring 2020 announcements for exciting youth events beginning in January!

There are so many ways to get involved as a youth at Edmonds UMC. You can...
  • Join the Monday Night Food Bank, anytime between 2 pm and 6:30 pm. Help Edmonds and Lynnwood's families in need.
  • Participate in Sunday morning worship at Edmonds UMC. Read Scripture, teach Sunday School, serve as an usher or greeter, or run the slides or sound for the service. We'd love to have your help! There is also Sunday School for 5th - 8th grade and 9th-12th grade.
  • Participate in a youth event - we will have our annual Christmas party and dinner on Sunday, December 15th, and are planning a lock-in in the spring.

Safe Church Policy

EUMC's safe-church policy states: No fewer than two adults (unrelated to one another) will be present at all times during any church-sponsored program, event, or ministry involving Children, Youth & Vulnerable Adults (CYVA), including overnight trips, off premises activities or group gatherings. With this ratio of adults to Youth: 5th-8th grades -2 adults for 1st 14 youth (1 for every next 7) and Youth 9th-12th grades - 2 adults for 1st 16 youth (1 for every next 8). And with parental permission, two adults are required to be present when traveling with youth in a car or van.
