Youth Ministries

This is more than just a youth group - it's a family. We welcome and embrace every 7th-12th grader who walks through the door. This is a place where God meets us - in how we treat each other, have fun together, worship together, and serve others. Our goal is to help youth experience God through small groups, bonding events, and mission and service to those who need it most. Want to get more involved or get more information email Greg McLaughlin, Youth Director at gregm@edmondsumc.org

Get Involved on Sunday Morning

Get Involved on Sunday Morning

There are many ways youth are invited to be a part of the EUMC community. Sunday School is offered for 5th-8th graders each Sunday Morning at 10:30 am. Also, Jennifer would love youth to help with Sunday School for younger kids, leading Godly Play and Shepherding the classes. This counts for Volunteer service hours. Email Jennifer to sign up!

You can also sign up to help in worship, from scripture reading, AV support work, joining the church choir, ushering, or more. Email Greg to Learn More.

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." - Matthew 25:35

Edmonds UMC's Youth Ministry is based in values of Christian Love, Radical Acceptance, and Lifelong Connection.

We meet in both Middle School and High School Small Groups to build community and bond in Christian Fellowship through games, stories, and guest speakers. Youth also gather for fun outings like movie nights, retreats, and the annual camping trip to Silverwood Theme Park. You can find our Calendar of events here

Safe Church Policy

EUMC's safe-church policy states: No fewer than two adults (unrelated to one another) will be present at all times during any church-sponsored program, event, or ministry involving Children, Youth & Vulnerable Adults (CYVA), including overnight trips, off premises activities or group gatherings. With this ratio of adults to Youth: 5th-8th grades -2 adults for 1st 14 youth (1 for every next 7) and Youth 9th-12th grades - 2 adults for 1st 16 youth (1 for every next 8). And with parental permission, two adults are required to be present when traveling with youth in a car or van.
