Reconciling Ministry

In the winter of 2014, a new ministry team at EUMC began, the Reconciling Ministries Team. The job of this team is to help our congregation reach out and be more welcoming to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) persons. In the spring of 2015, Edmonds United Methodist Church officially became a Reconciling Congregation welcoming all people of varying backgrounds.

Please contact the Church Office for more information about the Reconciling Team

This Sunday's special “Pride Month” event will feature some of our own Edmonds UMC LGBTQIA+ members! It's the Reconciling Team's hope to convey how essential EUMC is to our spiritual growth. EUMC became a Reconciling church not too long ago, and has become a home church for many who were without a home church due to living authentically as a gender minority or sexual minority. Sharing stories is a fantastic way to truly connect with others and to better understand others. Please join us this Sunday.
